2025 annual meeting for the Global HyPT Center

The annual Global HyPT Center meeting was held at Cranfield University from June 9–10, 2025. It was an opportunity for Center researchers to work together in person, to discuss their key challenges, opportunities, and advances, and to share ideas and insights.

The meeting featured a scenario study exploring how policy, technology, and market pathways could shape global hydrogen deployment through 2050. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour Cranfield’s hydrogen R&D facilities, including their pilot-scale technologies for clean hydrogen production.

The annual HyPT meeting was followed by the Global Hydrogen Futures Conference, also held at Cranfield University, on June 11–12, 2025. The Conference was co-organized with two other UK hydrogen consortia: HI-ACT and HyRES. A total of 47 talks and posters were presented under two overarching themes: materials advancements for hydrogen production and use; and hydrogen in the energy system.
