Dr. Justin Flory

Dr. Justin D. Flory is Project Manager for the Global Hydrogen Production Technologies (HyPT) Center and Associate Director of Research at Arizona State’s Center for Negative Carbon Emissions. He brings more than a decade of experience managing over 100 complex, deadline driven federal research proposals and coordinating large interdisciplinary teams across academia, national laboratories, and industry. Dr. Flory has led multi-investigator projects involving 5 to 100 researchers, providing scientific input on experimental design, advising technical direction, organizing team and sponsor communications, and integrating technical content for quarterly and final reports. His research background spans artificial photosynthesis, carbon capture, and coupling clean hydrogen with captured carbon to produce synthetic fuels, resulting in multiple patents and peer reviewed publications. At the HyPT Center, Dr. Flory manages executive and full team operations across 18 universities in five countries, facilitating coordinated progress toward scalable low-carbon hydrogen production.
