Dr. Ruijie Zeng

Dr. Ruijie Zeng is an Assistant Professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University.  Before joining ASU, Dr. Zeng was an Assistant Professor in Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Utah Water Research Lab at Utah State University after completing his PhD and MS degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Zeng’s research focuses on quantifying human interferences (e.g., agricultural irrigation and drainage) on hydrologic processes and improving the representation of human activities in hydrologic models.  Dr. Zeng’s group addresses the anthropogenic-hydrologic interactions through an integrated approach by combining the strengths of process-based models, machine learning techniques, and system analysis.
