Instructor: Meng Tao (Arizona State University)
Date Posted: 31st October 2025
Description: In this 1-hour lecture, Professor Meng Tao discusses low-cost production of net-zero hydrogen by electrolysis, i.e., how to power megawatt water electrolyzers with intermittent solar and wind. You will learn system innovations to reduce the cost of solar electricity by 50% and increase the capacity factor of an electrolyzer to 95%, without resorting to energy storage, to facilitate broad adoption of net-zero hydrogen.
