The Global HyPT Center advances three major net-zero hydrogen production technologies:

  1. water electrolysis including renewable energy integration and emerging electrolyzers
  2. methane pyrolysis with solid carbon as value-added co-products
  3. photocatalytic solar water splitting

The center also tackles two major cross-cutting challenges for net-zero hydrogen:

  1. policies, economics, and markets for building a global hydrogen economy
  2. water resources and treatment for electrolysis and photocatalysis
